iPhone Unlock and Jailbreak

For this guide, we are going to assume you're using Windows, and already have iTunes installed.

 

First of all, you need several bits of software.

 

QuickPwn 2.2.5 for Windows

3.9 Bootloader

4.6 bootloader

iPhone 2.2.1 2G Software

 

- First thing is to reflash the iphone to 2.1 using iTunes. Simply press shift and click restore. Chose the 2.1 firmware you've just downloaded, and let the iPhone be flashed.

 

- Open the QuickPwn software, and click the blue arrow, and browse to the firmware you downloaded. It'll check it's correct, then click the blue arrow again.

 

- Install cydia, and make sure you select Unlock. You'll be asked for the boot files you downloaded aswell.

 

- You'll be asked to confirm the iPhone is connected to the PC, which it should be. Click the blue arrow.

 

- The software will now put the phone into recovery mode, once done it'll ask you to press certain buttons to put it into DFU mode. Once completed, it'll start the unlock process.

 

- The iPhone will then run Bootneuter, which can take a while so be patient. Then it'll reboot and your 2G iPhone is unlocked!
